Cards sweep Pirates. Brewers sweep Cubs. Rockies up 2-0 in 5th pursuing sweep of Dodgers.

Wacha throw 8 scoreless. Molina ties career-high of 5 RBI with RBI single, 3-run HR, sac fly. Cards win 7-0.

Cards & Brewers now 2 back in NL Central. .

Living in Southern California, I have really grown to dislike the Dodgers. Last year the Dodgers needed to just win one of their final 3 games, vs. San Francisco, and the Redbirds would have been in the post season... Now in 2017, with STL chasing the Rockies, for the last wild card spot, LA loses 4 straight, to the Rockies ! Just one more reason for me to hate the Dodgers!

Hopefully they continue to suck, for about 3 more weeks!

The boys have been playing very good of late. Hopefully Carpenter can shake this slump. A leadoff hitter batting .238 is unacceptable!

Nice to see Wacha have such a stellar outing, I noticed he got his ERA down, to under 4.

Now ice cold Wong gets a spot at the top of the lineup too. After the guy has been on fire all season, wait until he gets cold and hurt to give him a good look there. Carpenter hitting .125 the last two weeks, Wong is hitting .143.

Meanwhile Bader hitting .303/.314/.606 and batting 8th and 7th, but has hit 1st and 2nd in 5 of his 8 starts, only 1 of those 5 came with Carpenter also in the lineup and the 3 he didn't bat 1st or 2nd came with Carpenter in the lineup. At least Martinez, hitting .410 over the last two weeks, is in the right spot.

I feel dumb seeing as we won, but why do we keep shooting ourselves in the foot to start?
