Godspeed, andujar. 13 years is a LONG time!

Hopefully the series turns out like this. Screech = unowned NEST.

I know the struggle well. It's been a lot of fun playing with you Andujar! I've got lots of great memories playing a silly text based baseball sim game and chatting about it with you and so many others over the years! You will be missed, hopefully paths will cross again some day :) Best of luck to you!

Congrats on the title Hardy. From what I can tell, Bayside is the second team in league history to make 5 straight World Series and the first modern era team (Peoria did it 1984-88). Though I did see that Aych Bee appeared in 8 out of 10 from 2003-13.

Let's flip. I think New York has one or two dominant runs in them. Dean is awfully tough though.

Yes!

Our pitching was pretty crazy this playoffs. Never gave up more than 4 runs in a game. 16 QS in 17 G. Playoff ERA of 1.86.

Lets see how the flip treats everyone with the new salary setup. In my other league that flipped it definitely was noticeable.

I'm certainly alot better off than Bayside, NY, and Vegas, but I definitely noticed some changes...

Yeah we got destroyed by the salary stuff.

There is no such thing anymore as cheap high RA middle infielders. This should help people who want more free agency though.

If you want some reference, this was the League Financials page as of 11:30 last night, just before the flip.

Johnston goes from $1M to $3.2M and the Active Roster as a whole is up $11M.

Sweet baby Jesus that's brutal. James Li's OPS dropped nearly 80 points in 17, yet his salary nearly doubled to over $10M. I assume because he won a GG?

The new CBA is going to make maintaining a dynasty really hard. Should create a lot if parity in leagues that are active in FA.

I'm curious about what it did to salaries as a whole. Seems like it pushed them way higher. But I didn't look at it before I dropped guys either.

Looks like we're overall pretty flat. League salary, per the link R27 posted, was $1,458,274.000, and league salary is currently $1,431,044,000 (with $18,089,000 dropped since the flip. So, we're down $9,141.000 after the flip, which is probably roughly equivalent to the retirees that were on team rosters before the flip.

6 teams under the cap before the flip, 8 teams under the cap after the flip.

Interesting. So it just moved a bunch of money around fkr the most part. Will take some time to figure out the new system now it seems.

In the mean time does anyone want a great defensive middle infielder?

Maybe if they made less than Roberts....or I could give up on keeping my salary down and send you a 2nd and FOA relief for Becker

It was hard before to find the right offer to justify trading away a high RA middle infield guy. I wonder if this change in salary for high RA guys brings the leagues overall evaluation of the guys closer together.

On one hand you have a majority of owners who didn't find these players valuable even when their salaries we're 2M+ cheaper. But on the other hand you have owners who now find it hard to stomach 4M+ for an elite defensive guy with a decent but not great bat.
